Dr. Zamir has made original contributions to Medicine and Ophthalmology, specifically in the fields of ocular inflammatory diseases and uveitis, medical retinal diseases, the treatment of scleritis, safer cataract surgery, the study of diagnostic errors, improving doctors’ diagnostic expertise, computerised clinical diagnosis and novel ophthalmic imaging techniques. He has presented his work in numerous medical conferences in Australia and internationally.
Dr Zamir has published over 80 scientific papers in the peer-reviewed medical literature and 3 book chapters. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne, Department of Ophthalmology and the Centre for Eye Research Australia.
